1. Introduction and Acceptance

GRUPO NUNA PERU S.A.C (hereinafter “Nuna Expeditions”) is a registered travel and tourism agency in Peru, based in Cusco. These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the Agency and the client (you or “the passenger”) when booking and/or contracting any tourist service offered by Nuna Expeditions.

Making a reservation or making a payment (partial or total) implies reading, understanding, and full and unconditional acceptance of these terms, as well as the particular conditions of the tour or service contracted. These terms comply with Law No. 32392 (New General Tourism Law), its Regulations (D.S. 002-2026-MINCETUR), and the Consumer Protection and Defense Code (INDECOPI).

2. Reservations and Confirmation
  • Every reservation is considered provisional until the required initial payment is received (generally 50% depending on the product).
  • Final confirmation is issued in writing (via email) once the initial payment has been received and availability has been verified.
  • Quoted prices are in United States dollars (USD) or Peruvian soles (PEN), include applicable current taxes (IGV when corresponding), and are subject to change due to variations in supplier rates, exchange rates, or taxes until final confirmation.
3. Payments
  • Initial payment: 50% at the time of booking (according to the itinerary).
  • Balance: Full payment up to 30-45 days before the start of the service (varies by product; see section 4).
  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard), Yape/Plin (depending on the amount), PayPal (with surcharge).

Important: Any bank fees or international transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations by the client:


  • Days before cancellation
  • Penalty of Total Cost
  • More than 45 days
  • 10-20% (administrative expenses)
  • 30-45 days
  • 30-50%
  • 15-29 days
  • 50-75%
  • Less than 15 days or No-show
  • 100% (no refund)

Exceptions:

Tours to Machu Picchu, Hiram Bingham train, packages with non-refundable entries or domestic flights: stricter penalties (up to 100% from ticket issuance).

In case of force majeure or officially declared natural disaster (landslide, road closure, government restrictions), rescheduling without cost or partial refund minus non-recoverable incurred expenses will be offered.

Cancellations by the Agency:

Only due to force majeure or objective impossibility of providing the service. In such case, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded or an equivalent alternative will be offered.

5. Passenger Responsibilities
  • Provide truthful and complete information (exact names as they appear in the passport, nationality, age, contact details).
  • Have a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), visas when required, and mandatory vaccinations (yellow fever in risk areas).
  • Obtain travel insurance with medical coverage, emergency evacuation, and cancellation (highly recommended, especially for adventure activities).
  • Comply with rules of conduct, safety, and instructions from guides and providers.
  • Inform in advance of any medical condition, allergy, reduced mobility, or special need.
6. Agency Liability
  • Nuna Expeditions acts as an intermediary between the client and service providers (hotels, transportation, guides, restaurants, etc.).
  • It is not liable for damages, losses, thefts, injuries, delays, cancellations, or breaches caused by third parties, weather conditions, strikes, disturbances, government decisions, or force majeure.
  • We undertake to provide the services as contracted, with reasonable quality standards and in accordance with current Peruvian regulations (Law 32392 and Consumer Protection Code).
  • In case of breach attributable to the Agency, liability is limited to the value of the contracted service.
7. Adventure Activities and Risks

Trekkings (Inca Trail, Salkantay, Ausangate, etc.), mountain biking, canopy, rafting, and other activities involve inherent risks. The passenger declares to be aware of them and accepts to participate under their own responsibility. Good physical and mental condition is required. The Agency may deny participation if it considers there is a serious risk to the client or third parties.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers:

  • Cancellation and/or trip interruption
  • Medical expenses and hospitalization
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation
  • Loss of baggage and documents

The Agency is not responsible for the lack of such insurance.

9. Personal Data Protection

We comply with Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection. Your data is used solely to manage the reservation, provide the service, and send related information. You may exercise your ARCO rights by contacting us directly.

10. Modifications and Updates

The Agency reserves the right to modify these terms when necessary due to regulatory changes or service improvements. The current version is published on the website www.nunaexpeditions.com (or the official domain). Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated version.
